Day 1

Arrive
late night or early morning at
Delhi Airport and be transferred to our
hotel.
Day 2
Rest and relax at the hotel or take an optional afternoon clothes shopping
trip. Breakfast and lunch will be available at the hotel. We will meet for
dinner and orientation at the hotel. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 3
After breakfast we'll fly to
Udaipur and check into our hotel. An afternoon
boat ride on Lake Pichola and a visit to the beautiful Lake Palace. Dinner overlooking
the lake and overnight in Udaipur.
Day 4
A morning exploring this fascinating city, followed by a visit to the ancient
temples at the nearby village of
Eklingji. Overnight in Udaipur.
Day 5
A full day's trip visiting the fort at
Kumbhalgarh and the serene Jain
temples at
Ranakpur. Overnight in Udaipur.
Day 6
Flying to
Jodhpur, we'll continue by road (2 hours) to the desert camp
at
Manwar. After settling into our luxury tents, we'll take a
camel
safari into the sand dunes. Overnight at Manwar.
Day 7
Continuing our drive (4 hours) to
Jaisalmer and checking into our hotel.
We'll spend the afternoon shopping in the
bazaars and wandering through
the old city with its beautifully carved
havelis (houses). Overnight
Jaisalmer.
Day 8
We'll relax and continue exploring the temples and fortifications of this
magnificent "golden" city. Overnight Jaisalmer.
Day 9
An early start for our drive (6 hours) back across the Great Thar Desert to
Jodhpur. We'll break our journey for lunch at the ancient desert city of
Osiyan with its lavishly sculptured temples. Overnight at Jodhpur.
Day 10
After breakfast we'll board jeeps for a safari into the nearby villages inhabited
by the
Bishnois tribes. These people are the areas staunches environmentalists
and we'll see their lifestyles, crafts and foods. In the afternoon, it's a visit
to Jodhpur's breathtaking Mehrangarh hill fort. Overnight in Jodhpur.
Day 11
A morning flight will take us to
Jaipur. We'll spend the day visiting
this "
pink city" (traditionally the color of hospitality) with
its beautiful palaces and 18th century observatory. Overnight in
Jaipur.
Day 12
We'll visit the 16th century stately palace complex of the
Amber Fort.
This well preserved, lavishly decorated fort is a short climb on foot or by
riding on an elephant. Afterwards there'll be free time for those who want to
"attack" the shops. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 13 
This morning we'll make the drive (2 hours) to
Samode. We'll relax and
enjoy this village nestled among the areas rugged hills and visit the beautiful
Samode palace. Returning to Jaipur for the night.
Day 14
Flying back to our starting place of
Delhi, we'll check into our hotel
and take an afternoon sightseeing tour of the city. We'll gather in the evening
for our farewell dinner. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 15
There will be time for unfinished sightseeing and any last minute shopping,
before packing and preparing for our evening international departures home.

This tour begins and ends in Delhi. You are required to make your own travel
arrangements to and from Delhi.
