Day 1
Arrive
at Mumbai/Delhi/Banglore/Trivendrum Airport and be transferred to the airport
to board flight for Cochin. On arrival transfer to Brunton Boatyard Hotel with
its ever changing view of harbor life. Rest and relax at the Hotel or take an
optional afternoon clothes shopping trip. Breakfast and lunch will be provided
at the Hotel and we'll meet for dinner and orientation that evening. Overnight
at Brunton Boatyard Hotel.
Day 2
Drive into the Western Ghat mountains en route to Spice Village (4 hours), stopping
for lunch at a "planter's cottage". Checking into the Resort, inspired
by traditional tribal villages, we'll relax, connect with nature and begin our
program of Ayurvedic massages. Overnight at Spice Village.
Day 3
We'll continue our Ayurvedic treatments, alternating them with guided walks
into the tropical forests to explore the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Overnights at
Spice Village.
Day 4
After completing our massages, we'll travel to Coconut Lagoon by road and boat
(3 hours). We'll consult with the Ayurvedic doctors and enjoy the Resort, created
from relocated and restored traditional wooden houses . Overnight at Coconut
Lagoon.
Day 5 and 6,
Our daily Ayurvedic treatments will be alternated with Backwater cruises, temple
visits and visits to a local farm and village to experience rural life. Evening
cultural programs will prepare us for overnights at Coconut Lagoon.
Day 7
Traveling by boat and road, we'll continue to Marari Beach (1-2 hours) and begin
our final days of Ayurvedic treatments. Overnight at Marari beach.
Day 8 and 9
Again, we'll alternate local sightseeing and enjoying the miles of pristine
beach with our Ayurvedic treatments. Overnights at Marari Beach.
Day 10
After a leisurely morning we'll take the short drive back to Cochin and once
again settle into the Brunton Boatyard Hotel (1 hour). Overnight at Brunton
Boatyard Hotel.
Day 11
A day of shopping in Cochin's old markets and sightseeing in the historic city.
We'll bring our Kerala tour to a fitting end with a harbor cruise as we watch
the sun set over the Arabian Sea. Overnight at Brunton Boatyard Hotel.
Day 12
Time for packing or a last minute dash to the shops in preparation for our afternoon
and evening departures from Cochin to connect with our international flights
home.
